Project Photo Op

I cherish photographing the everyday joy in motherhood, and one day I started thinking how sad it would be if I wasn't able to take pictures of my children.  Tears welled up in my eyes as I thought of families who struggle to put food on the table, and definitely would not have the means to take photographs of their children.... especially for special occasions such as graduating from high school.  After talking with my husband, together we expanded on my thoughts and came up with "Project Photo-Op" a vision that would fulfill my passion and love for photography, and could provide deserving families with treasured memories.  My hope was that I could find high school seniors, who were hard working, good students, that would not normally have an option for senior photos.  The idea was that these students would be referred to me by teachers, friends, church leaders, etc. who personally knew them, and felt they were deserving.  My hope is that these students will "pay it forward" by pursuing their passion and volunteer their time at a local organization.   My hope is that by sharing my passion, these students will take the "opportunity" (hence the name Project Photo-Op) to pursue their passion and share it with others.
This blog is the beginning of my vision.... and I am excited to see where it will take me!
